Tuition and costs
The online component is free of charge, and the combined tuition fee for the in-class and field trip components is $300, due at the time of application.
The CMAEF solicits support from individuals and industry to support the All About Mining course. This allows our low tuition rate. (Sponsors are paired with teachers during the in-class component to give you the opportunity to visit with them.)
Limited financial assistance is available for educators who meet certain requirements. These scholarship funds can help with tuition, travel, accommodations and meals.
Applications for financial assistance must be received before April 1 of the year you wish to attend.
Scholarship awards may be available from interested trade organizations in your area. We suggest you make local inquiries on your own and apply directly to those organizations. Assistance also may be available from national organizations. Please tell us if you are seeking such assistance; we may be able to help.
Each participant is required to provide his or her own steel-toed shoes or shoe caps for field trips. Hard hats, hearing protection and safety glasses will be provided by the CMAEF.
Transportation to and from classes is the responsibility of the participants. Transportation (and most meals) will be provided for field trips.
Room and Board
Participants must provide their own room and board in the Golden area for in-class component. A list of nearby hotels can be furnished on request.
